Chris Healy

Head of MBA Marketing and Recruitment

Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester

Chris Healy is the Head of MBA Marketing and Recruitment at Alliance Manchester Business School, at the University of Manchester, where he’s driven marketing initiatives for the past 14 years.

Chris has implemented and developed marketing and recruitment strategies, both domestically and internationally, to meet the academic and commercial objectives of the School.

During this time, he’s gained experience and insight in the UK, Western Europe, North America, Africa, and Asia into individual candidates as well as global corporates looking to attract, develop and retain talent, particularly in the banking, energy, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and telecommunication industries.

Francisco Veloso

Francisco Veloso

Francisco Veloso is the Dean at Imperial College Business School. Previously, he was the Dean at Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, where he held the NOS Chair in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Francisco also retains an adjunct appointment at Carnegie Mellon University, where he was a tenured Full Professor.

Francisco´s research focuses on high–tech innovation and entrepreneurship. He has several dozen publications in leading academic journals and has won several awards for his contributions. He has also worked as a consultant and advisor to a range of established firms, startups and universities around the world. He chairs the Advisory Board of the Portuguese Association of Business Angels (APBA) and is a member of the RISE (Research, Innovation and Science Experts) group, a high-level advisory body to the European Commissioner, Carlos Moedas. 

Francisco has a PhD in Technology, Management and Policy from MIT – Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as an MSc in Technology Management and an Undergraduate Degree in Physics Engineering, both from the University of Lisbon

Christina Perry

Project Portfolio Manager, Peregrine Global Services

Christina Perry is the Project Portfolio Manager at Peregrine Global Services, where she has worked for the past five years, to promote continuous improvement in higher education and industry by identifying gaps in achievement and implementing technology-based services to improve performance and meet outcomes.

Christina spent her formative years studying and working abroad and is fluent in French and Spanish. A Wyoming native, Christina earned her bachelor of arts in international studies from the University of Wyoming, and continued her education with a MSc in operations and project management. She is currently pursuing her EdD in leadership and learning in organization through Vanderbilt University, to better lead improvement efforts and change initiatives.

George Iliev

George Iliev

Director of Strategic Projects & Innovation, Accreditation & China Director, AMBA & BGA

George Iliev is Director of Strategic Projects & Innovation, responsible for strategic initiatives in online and executive education, entrepreneurship and education technology. George is also Accreditation & China Director at AMBA & BGA and manages the AMBA accreditation of 115 business schools in China, Japan, Russia, Eastern Europe, Spain, Latin America, Turkey and London.

Before joining AMBA in 2011, George’s career included consulting work in media (CNN-Atlanta), sustainability (Bolivia) and renewable energy (Bulgaria); macroeconomic research for the Economic Policy Institute; and a stint of four years as Managing Editor of China business news service of Reuters Business Briefing and Dow Jones Factiva. He taught China Business and Economy at Sofia University (2004-2007) and has a professional interest in Entrepreneurship and Innovation research.

George completed his MBA at Emory University (Atlanta), where he was a Fulbright Scholar. He holds an MSc degree in Economic History and Anthropology from the London School of Economics (where he was a Chevening Scholar) and a BA in Chinese Studies from Sofia University. George has also pursued specialisations at HKUST in Hong Kong and at Anhui University in Mainland China.

George speaks Mandarin Chinese, Russian and Spanish, as well as his native Bulgarian. In his spare time he writes a blog exploring the parallels between nature and business.

Hanna-Leena Pesonen

Hanna-Leena Pesonen

Dean, Professor in Corporate Environmental Management, Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics, Jyväskylä University

Hanna-Leena Pesonen has a Ph.D. in Environmental Management and M.Sc. Degree in Marketing. Her areas of expertise include corporate environmental strategies and marketing, material flow management, and environmental management systems. Lately her research has been focused on developing sustainable business and bioeconomy.

Pesonen has participated in several international research groups with partners, research institutions, public sector, and business. She has published articles in several international journals and is co-author of SETAC’s code of practice for environmental life cycle costing (LCC). She is a member of the editorial board of International Journal of Life Cycle Assessment and a member of EASAC’s (European Academies Science Advisory Council) Energy Steering Panel.

Besides academic research, she actively works with sustainability challenges of business through consulting and executive education both in Finland and abroad.

John Da Silva Luiz

John Da Silva Luiz

John Da Silva Luiz is a Professor of International Management at the University of Sussex, and visiting Professor at the University of Cape Town specialising in international management strategy, business, society, and government, and the political economy of emerging markets.

John has been involved in international accreditation for more than 15 years for three universities, and most recently was MBA Director at the University of Sussex. John has been a visiting scholar, research affiliate and visiting professor at various universities in the US, Chile, the Netherlands, Hungary, South Africa, and Italy.

He is a member of various professional bodies and was President of the Economic Society of South Africa 2014-2016. He has served on the editorial boards of several leading journals and has been widely published with 150 publications including more than 100 articles in leading journals. He is the co-author and/or editor of several books published by Macmillan, Pearson and Oxford University Press, over 20 book chapters, and the co-author of an award-winning case study on sustainable development.

He is a consultant at numerous leading multinational corporations, public entities, and NGOs. He is active in management training and executive education at prominent multinational corporations and public entities.

Leila Triki

Leila Triki, Dean, Mediterranean School of Business (MSB)

Leila is Dean of the Mediterranean School of Business (MSB) – Tunisia, a leading Business School in the MEA region where she is responsible for establishing medium to long term goals, and strategic planning for an internationally accredited fast-growing business school.

Leila has over fifteen years of experience in higher education development. Analytical thinker with strong international network Leila is passionate about achieving social and economic development through building capabilities.

Before joining MSB Leila was a sponsored researcher at the London School of Economics and Political Science where she taught economics and widened her research expertise. Prior to that appointment, she worked as a Consultant for the World Bank Group, Washington D.C. within the Financial Sector Group.

Leila serves today in the International Advisory Board of Nova School of Business and Economics in Lisbon, Portugal as well as in the Tunisia-UK Higher Education Commission. Since 2012 she participates in International Accreditation panels for business schools in the region. Leila holds a MSc and a Ph. D in Economic Theory from Sorbonne University, France, as well as an EMBA from MSB.

Lin Zhou

Lin Zhou

Dean, Chinese University of Hong Kong Business School

Lin Zhou has been Dean of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School since 2019.

Before joining CUHK, he was Dean of Antai College of Economics and Management of Shanghai Jiao Tong University between 2010 and 2018.

In addition to leading these two top Business Schools in Asia with MBA programs ranked in the world’s top 50 by Financial Times, Professor Zhou has been active in many global Business School organisations such as AACSB, EFMD, and AMBA. He also serves on the international advisory boards of several Business Schools around the world.

Professor Zhou started his academic career in US after obtaining a doctoral degree in economics from Princeton in 1989. He was as an assistant and an associate professor at Yale, a tenured associate professor at Duke, and WP Carey professor at Arizona State University.

His research interest covers some fundamental areas of micro-economic theory, including game theory, mechanism design, social choice and welfare. His original work was published in leading economics journals, including Econometrica, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Economic Theory, and Games and Economic Behavior.

In 1993 he was awarded the prestigious Sloan Research Fellowship in economics. In 2009 he became the first Econometric Society Fellow elected from the Greater China region.

Professor Zhou is an Independent Director of Fidelity China, as well as an Independent Director of Qingke International, a Nasdaq listed firm.

Lisa McAllister

Lisa McAllister

Director of Accreditations and Quality , Excelia Business School, Excelia Group

Lisa McAllister is Director of Accreditations and Quality at Excelia Business School.

As a member of the Group’s managing committee, she oversees the Group’s quality management system to drive quality and performance and manages the Group’s accreditations strategy, to align the School with international benchmark standards to continually improve through international networks, promoting innovation and sharing.

Before joining Excelia Business School, in 2012, Lisa previously worked in regional development, for 10 years, notably as Chief Executive of the Irish government’s Western Development Commission, following her appointment in 2002. 

Prior to her career in regional development she was General Manager of an Irish wholesale importation and distribution company in building, hardware, and agricultural products.

Mark Stoddard

Mark Stoddard, Director of Accreditation & Director of BGA Services, AMBA & BGA

Having worked at AMBA & BGA for more than 15 years, Mark is responsible for the creation, design and development of the full suite of BGA services and accreditation processes, while leading the review of accreditation criteria at AMBA. 

In addition, Mark is Director of Accreditation at AMBA for Africa, North America and South Asia, as well as parts of Western Europe, and has actively participated in approximately 200 accreditation visits worldwide.

Previously at AMBA, Mark launched the AMBA Development Network and AMBA’s Research Centre, serving as Founding Editor of its journal, Business Leadership Review; he also led the expansion of the AMBA accreditation portfolio to MBM and DBA programmes.

Mark holds an MA in Russian Politics and a BA (1st Class Honours) in American Studies, having studied at the University of Essex (UK) and the University of California, Berkeley (USA).

Martin Boehm

Dean and Professor of Marketing at IE Business School

Martin Boehm is the Dean and Professor of Marketing at IE Business School in Madrid. He previously served as the Dean of Programs, the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies at IE University, and the Associate Dean of the Master in Management at IE Business School.

Martin’s intellectual interests centre on customer management. His research provides managerial implications on how to build profitable and long-lasting customer relationships. His primary concern is to quantify the impact of various customer management activities on a customer’s lifetime value – the net present value of the stream of future profits expected over a customer’s lifetime. At the same time, he develops analytical models to estimate or approximate a customer’s lifetime value.

As a consultant he works primarily with firms in the financial services industry to provide them with a roadmap for growth.

Martin teaches across IE’s master in management, MBA, Executive MBA, and PhD programmes. Prior to joining the IE Business School faculty, he studied international business at Reutlingen University of Applied Sciences and received an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship. He completed his academic education with a doctorate in marketing from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University in Frankfurt.

Michele O’Dwyer

Michele O’Dwyer, MBA Director, Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick

Prof. Michele O’Dwyer is Director of the Executive MBA at the Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick. As a winner of multiple teaching awards Michele works with undergraduate, postgraduate and executive students at the University of Limerick, as well as leading Universities in UK, USA and across Europe, encouraging them to explore their innovation potential. Before joining the faculty at the University of Limerick, Michele ran a marketing and market research consultancy investigating marketing issues in a diverse range of industries in Ireland and across Europe. Her continuing close links with industry support her award winning research which focuses on innovation, performance, alliances, SME marketing, and new product development. She holds a PhD from the University of Ulster UK and is an accomplished keynote speaker.

Patti Brown

Director, ESSEC Business School

Patti Brown is the Global MBA and MSc in Hospitality Director at ESSEC Business School. She brings 20 years of international experience in the areas of management, sales, business development, digital solutions and early talent recruiting, with a focus on the higher education sector. 

Her strengths are in project and programme development and implementation, with a proven ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel while balancing priorities and meeting tight deadlines. Patti further brings expertise in building corporate and university relationships internationally, as she was with leading educational firm Parenthèse and the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), prior to her current position. 

Percy Marquina

Director General, CENTRUM PUCP Business School

Prior to becoming Director General at CENTRUM PUCP Business School, Professor Marquina has held a variety of roles including General Manager at Rhone Poulenc, General Manager, Commercial Manager and Marketing Manager at companies linked to the Richard O’ Custer group.

He has been a member of several organisations including Rhone Poulenc Executive Committee in Latin America and Rhone Poulenc Peru SA Board of Directors. He was President of the Peruvian Marketing Society, Director at AIESEC, a member of the advisory committee of the annual marketing congress and strategy and leadership congress, member of the University Council at Universidad del Pacífico, a member of the final jury of Effie awards, member of Provida NGO Board, expert member of ISO 26000 social responsibility committee, and an evaluator member of the 2021 award for corporate social responsibility and sustainable development.

He has also been a Consultant Trainer in Strategic Alignment and Commercial Effectiveness certified by Wilson Learning, US.

Professor Marquina is a specialist in marketing, social marketing, ethical consumption, corporate social responsibility, project monitoring and evaluation. He has been a speaker at numerous international conferences.

Paul Mallette

Director of EMEA Operations, Peregrine Global Services

Paul has more than 30 years of experience in higher education in both teaching and administrative positions, including the higher education quality assurance work where he specialised in business program accreditation, in the US, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. In addition to his teaching and quality assurance work, Paul has served as Director of Training at International Masters Publishers in Paris and Director of Admissions at Clark University’s Graduate School of Management in Worcester, Massachusetts.

A native of Boston, he received his bachelor of science degree from Boston University, his MBA from Clark University, and a Certificate of Management Studies from Harvard University’s Division of Continuing Education.

Rajendra Srivastava

Rajendra Srivastava

Dean and Novartis Professor of Marketing Strategy and Innovation, Indian School of Business

Rajendra Srivastava is Dean and Novartis Professor of Marketing Strategy and Innovation at the Indian School of Business (Hyderabad & Mohali).

He has served as Provost and Deputy President at Singapore Management University, and as Senior Associate Dean at both the University of Texas at Austin and at Emory University.

A leading authority on the impact of marketing on business and financial performance, Rajendra’s research interests include business model innovation, marketing metrics, value of market-based intangible assets (brands, channels) and management of growth and risk. His work on assessing the impact of marketing strategy business and financial performance has influenced both theory and practice on topics ranging from marketing accountability and strategic metrics across the globe.

His paper linking intangible market-based assets and market-facing business processes to shareholder value in the Journal of Marketing received the both the Maynard Award and the MSI/Paul Root Award for the article judged to contribute most to the theory and practice of marketing, respectively. The same article also received the AMA/Sheth Foundation Award for long-term impact on marketing. The American Marketing Association has recognized him as the 2020 AMA Fellow. His current work focuses on business innovation and organisational transformation.

He holds a BTech. (mechanical engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, an MS (industrial engineering) from the University of Rhode Island, and an MBA and PhD in business from the University of Pittsburgh.

Samantha Walbrugh-Parsadh

Samantha Walbrugh-Parsadh

Head of International Affairs

University of Stellenbosch Business School

Samantha Walbrugh-Parsadh joined the University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB) in April 2014. She is responsible for the development and execution of policy and strategy in line with the University’s overarching internationalisation strategy; providing leadership and facilitating integration of the internationalisation activities into the academic life of USB; and promoting a better understanding of internationalisation at all levels of the academic community.

Before joining USB, she worked for 10 years as the Assistant Director in the International Office on the main campus of Stellenbosch University. In this role, she managed all institutional agreements; incoming and outgoing exchange student mobility; study abroad and research programmes; short-term customised academic programmes for incoming international university groups; as well as the International Programme Stellenbosch University (IPSU).

She also gained valuable work experience within the marketing and communication division; the office of the Rector & Vice-Chancellor; as well as the institutional advancement division at Stellenbosch University.

Shannon Reid

Shannon Reid

Strategic Initiatives Analyst, Olin Business School, Washington University in St Louis

Shannon Reid is the Strategic Initiatives Analyst at Olin Business School, Washington University in St Louis (US) where she is responsible for managing accreditation, rankings and other strategic initiatives. She led Olin’s successful initial AMBA accreditation effort in 2019.

 Shannon has more than 20 years of experience in higher education administration, including roles in admissions and student affairs at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, and the University of California, Los Angeles.  

Prior to her career in higher education, Shannon worked as a management consultant in Hong Kong, helping multinational companies develop their business strategies in China, south and south east Asia.  

Shannon received her BA in comparative area studies from Duke University and studied at Beijing Capital Normal University and Nanjing University.

Steef van de Velde

Steef van de Velde, Chair, IAAB and former Dean and Professor of Operations Management and Technology, Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM)

Steef van de Velde is a former Professor of Operations Management and Technology and the Dean of Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM).

His research interests lie in the areas of operations excellence, service operations, and supply chain management.

He has published in the leading academic journals including, among others, the Management Science, the California Management Review, Operations Research, Mathematical Programming, the INFORMS Journal on Computing, IIE Transactions, and the Journal of Scheduling.

Professor van de Velde holds an MSc in econometrics from the Erasmus School of Economics and a PhD in mathematics and computer science from the Eindhoven University of Technology.
