Marketing Executive

AMBA & BGA is currently recruiting for a Marketing Executive to work on a variety of campaigns aimed at a global audience (involving both B2B and B2C) across a range of marketing channels. The role supports the wider Marketing team in delivering its strategic objectives across both our brands.

Job Purpose
Summary:
To work with all internal departments to deliver impactful, insightful and engaging marketing campaigns, with a focus on email marketing and social media activity.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Provide planning support and execute marketing campaigns to support AMBA & BGA initiatives in conjunction with different stakeholder teams predominantly in, but not limited to: email marketing, digital marketing (including web updates), social media, marketing brochures, flyers, promotional items and display material
  • Closely monitor the success of the campaigns executed and optimise continuously
  • Support with the production of a monthly marketing report across all channels to demonstrate performance against objectives and key KPIs for all the marketing team channels.
  • Be a brand custodian ensuring that all marketing collateral meets brand guidelines and that business schools implement the AMBA & BGA brand identity appropriately
  • Working closely with the wider team to input and oversee the production of creative collateral and engaging branded materials in line with strategic objectives
  • Write and edit copy to support multiple campaigns and use design skills to produce on and offline materials and content for the online properties
  • Schedule and create timely and engaging social media content to support campaigns
  • Source suppliers to provide AMBA & BGA branded merchandise and other collateral (e.g. event banners) as required
  • Assist with maintaining our websites and email communications
  • Support with copywriting and proofreading across all digital and print collateral (i.e. events, sponsored pages etc)
  • Support marketing colleagues with reporting, paid digital campaigns and other marketing initiatives
  • Manage departmental admin, such as schedules and financial administration (including raising POs)
  • Working closely with the wider team to input jobs onto the Career Development Centre sites for both AMBA & BGA
  • Support Director of Marketing and Communications with corporate deliverables (namely advertising online and in print, solus email campaigns, sponsored projects etc and manage and delegate schedules accordingly)
  • Create and design basic print and online collateral
  • Work closely with all AMBA & BGA departments to ensure that all marketing materials meet business objectives and KPIs.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Experience of running organic social media activity across various platforms
  • Experience of using email software, web/content management systems and CRM (primarily Dotdigital, WordPress and Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Experience of running paid digital/search marketing campaigns
  • Experience of SEO and web optimisation generally
  • Experience of web and social media analytics and reporting
  • Experience of producing a wide variety of marketing collateral
  • Ability to write copy in plain English
  • Experience of working with designers, printers and other production companies
  • An interest in de­veloping content and design is desirable, with knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a definite plus
  • Sound understanding and application of current and future data protection and privacy legislation and principles (GDPR)
  • Previous marketing experience gained within a commercial business
  • Degree educated (desirable), marketing qualification desirable (e.g. IDM, Google Squared etc.)
Key Competencies:
  • Marketing practitioner with a thirst to learn new techniques and to keep up-to-date with channel innovations
  • Ability to project manage campaigns from brief to implementation within budget and time and deadline constraints. Effective time management skills/multi-tasking skills to manage several and diverse campaigns at once
  • A good team player, who understands the dynamics of a small team and the importance of open communication and accountability
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (primarily InDesign, Illustrator and PhotoShop)
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and experienced in using a variety of CMS’s
  • A good working knowledge of social media and social media marketing
  • Fastidious attention to detail and an eye for design detail
  • Proficiency in relevant MS office packages, namely word, excel, PowerPoint, in addition to packages mentioned above
  • Strong communication skills, and presentation skills
  • A self-starter, quick learner, proactive and enthusiastic
  • Willingness to undertake occasional national and international travel

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week (the postholder may be required to work some evenings and weekends to fulfil the requirements of the role, for example if attending events internationally or nationally as required)
