ESE Business School, Universidad De Los Andes retains its place among elite MBA providers with AMBA re-accreditation

ESE Business School, Universidad De Los Andes  has officially received re-accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA), one of the world’s leading authorities on post-graduate business education, demonstrating its continuing commitment to excellence in management education.

Accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA) represents the highest standard of achievement in post-graduate business education. Its rigorous assessment criteria ensure that only the highest-calibre programmes which demonstrate the best standards in teaching, curriculum, and student interaction achieve Association of MBAs accreditation.

ESE Business School is the postgraduate Business School of Universidad de los Andes in Santiago, Chile. The School was created with the aim of developing educational programmes for business executives and, through them, influence the business environment in Chile.

Members of AMBA’s visiting accreditation panel, representing senior management at AMBA-accredited Business Schools globally, commended the overall culture at the School, which was said to encourage entrepreneurism and collaboration among faculty and staff. This culture was also said to be centred around attention to the wellbeing of the students both during and after the programme.

The world-class facilities were also mentioned as adding real value to the School. The students and graduates who were met during the accreditation, were said to be of high quality and were well-rounded professionals. The panel also commended the emphasis on business ethics which could be clearly seen throughout all the programmes.

Raimundo Monge, General Director of ESE Business School, Universidad de los Andes, said: ‘We are very happy to be recognised by AMBA. This gives us the tranquillity that our ongoing effort to improve our teaching and research activities is on track to deliver sustainable results. The recommendations we received in the final report challenge us to work harder in the achievement of our objectives, so we can improve even further our education tools to teach the business leaders in Chile. Our special gratitude to the AMBA team who visited ESE Business School and did a very thorough and constructive review of our School.`

The accreditation is international in scope and reach, and AMBA works under the belief that accredited programmes should be of the highest standard and reflect changing trends and innovation in post-graduate management education. Its accreditation process reflects this commitment to fostering innovation, and demanding Business Schools to perform at the highest level continually.

Andrew Main Wilson, Chief Executive of AMBA & BGA, said: ‘AMBA accreditation ensures that students are gaining the finest business education available in the market. ESE Business School certainly provides this great business education, with world class facilities and faculty. ESE Business School, Universidad de los Andes is dedicated to the teaching of Chile’s business leaders, giving them the necessary tools of general management to improve in their jobs and make a significant impact in the society from their business area.

Since its foundation, the ESE concept aimed to be similar to that of the most recognised and prestigious Business Schools in the world. ESE has been operating separately from other university areas, achieving thus a specialised and unique learning environment among students and academic staff. Given these characteristics, we can claim that ESE is the first Business School in Chile exclusively dedicated to graduate programs.

Our mission is to render a service to society in general and to the business world in particular, through a high quality and demanding academic labor. Through its programs, ESE intends to contribute to the development of knowledge and to the education of business men and women, both in their management capabilities and in the necessary virtues for the exercise of directing activities.

At ESE Business School, students learn through case method instruction, applying their knowledge on real situations so that they can experience the challenge of making difficult decisions and exchanging experiences with their classmates.

During its twenty years of existence, ESE Business School has had more than 60,000 people passed through their school and receive more than 5,000 students each year.
