ESSCA School of Management receives AMBA re-accreditation and affirms its position in the top 2% of Business Schools globally

ESSCA School of Management has officially received re-accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA), one of the world’s leading authorities on post-graduate business education, demonstrating its continuing commitment to excellence in management education.  .

Accreditation from AMBA represents the highest standard of achievement in post-graduate business education. Its rigorous assessment criteria ensure that only the highest-calibre programmes which demonstrate the best standards in teaching, curriculum, and student interaction achieve AMBA accreditation.

Upon receiving AMBA accreditation, all current MBM students and alumni of ESSCA School of Management are invited to join AMBA’s global member community of more than 50,000 students and alumni in more than 150 countries on a free basis, for networking, thought leadership, career development, and a variety of benefits.

ESSCA School of Management delivers programmes in multiple locations, with two main sites in Angers and Paris, in France. AMBA accredits the Grande École MBM and the executive MBM programmes at the School.

Members of AMBA’s visiting accreditation panel, representing senior management at AMBA-accredited Business Schools globally, thought the School was led by an ambitious and passionate team, who were dedicated to creating and executing their carefully constructed 20/24 Odyssey Strategic Plan. The panel also commended the professional services team, who were said to be a benefit to the School.

The panel commented on the high-quality MBM students in the programmes, mentioning how the School was able to successfully convert students into supportive alumni.

The Grande École MBM was also commended for its quality and the continuous work put into this programme by the School.

Jean Charroin, Dean and Managing Director, said, ‘By being reaccredited by AMBA, ESSCA confirms its triple crown and continues to progress. This decision recognizes the constant improvement in the quality of the Grande École programme at a time when the five years of its curriculum are uniformly accessible, after the baccalaureate or a bachelor’s degree, in Aix-en-Provence, Angers, Bordeaux, Lyon and Paris. The international dimension of the programme has also increased since students, including those admitted after a Bachelor elsewhere, can now spend several semesters on ESSCA’s campuses in Shanghai and Budapest.

‘This recognition is all the more striking as it comes in the particular context of Covid-19 and testifies to the investment of the teams to enable students to continue to learn, develop and accomplish their professional project.

‘The AMBA accreditation also underlines the quality of the Grande École programme through continuing education, which is accessible by competitive examination in Paris and Angers.’

The accreditation is international in scope and reach, and AMBA works under the belief that accredited programmes should be of the highest standard and reflect changing trends and innovation in post-graduate management education. Its accreditation process reflects this commitment to fostering innovation, and demanding Business Schools to perform at the highest level continually.

Andrew Main Wilson, Chief Executive of the Association of MBAs and Business Graduates Association (BGA), said: ‘ESSCA School of Management is a School which provides excellent quality programmes. It is clear the School has a passionate leadership team who are continually working to uphold these high standards. I am delighted about this re-accreditation and look forward to continuing to work with the School.’
