ESSEC Business School’s MBA and MBM programmes receive AMBA re-accreditation

ESSEC Business School has officially received re-accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA), one of the world’s leading authorities on post-graduate business education, demonstrating its continuing commitment to excellence in management education.

Upon receiving AMBA accreditation, all current MBA and MBM students and recent MBA and MBM alumni of ESSEC Business School are invited to join AMBA’s global member community of more than 60,000 students and alumni in more than 150 countries on a free basis, for networking, thought leadership, career development, and a variety of benefits.

Accreditation from the Association of MBAs represents the highest standard of achievement in post-graduate business education. Its rigorous assessment criteria ensure that only the highest-calibre programmes which demonstrate the best standards in teaching, curriculum, and student interaction achieve Association of MBAs accreditation.

ESSEC Business School offers its programmes over multiple campuses, including a campus in La Défense, close to Paris’ city centre which is the base for EMBA and MBA delivery in France and for Executive Education courses. The business school also has campuses in Singapore and Morocco, in addition to its main base in Cergy, France. AMBA accredits the Global MBA, the Executive MBAs and the Master in Management at the school.

Members of AMBA’s accreditation panel, representing senior management at AMBA-accredited business schools globally, commended the investment in new facilities in Cergy-Pontoise and also digital infrastructure across both French campuses. They thought that this demonstrated a long-term commitment to the success of the institution and was a distinctive feature of the school.

The panel also mentioned that the business school was led by a dedicated and passionate team who were clearly committed to the continued prosperity of the institution and the well-being of students. The faculty were also said to produce excellent research which was seen to provide a strong platform for the development of relevant and impactful programmes.

Finally, the work the school is doing with Deloitte to widen its programmes among deprived communities in France was thought to be impressive by the panel.

Vincenzo Vinzi, Dean and President of ESSEC Business School said: “We are honored to be awarded AMBA accreditation for an additional five years. This recognition is a testament to ESSEC’s academic excellence and rigor in upholding high standards in the delivery of our programs, and highlights the dedication of our different stakeholders to creating positive impact.”

AMBA accreditation is international in scope and reach, and AMBA works under the belief that accredited programmes should be of the highest standard and reflect changing trends and innovation in post-graduate management education. Its accreditation process reflects this commitment to fostering innovation, and demanding business schools to perform at the highest level continually.

Andrew Main Wilson, Chief Executive of the Association of MBAs and Business Graduates Association (BGA) said: “I am delighted that this important school within our network has achieved re-accreditation. The school is running many innovative initiatives, including the investment in digital at its campuses and its partnership with Deloitte. It is clear that this school is a leading global business school.’
