Hult International Business School wins prestigious Business School Careers Strategy Award in AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards

Hult International Business School (US), scooped the coveted Business School Careers Strategy Award at the world-renowned Association of MBAs (AMBA) and Business Graduates Association (BGA) Excellence Awards & Gala Dinner 2020.

The award was presented at a glittering awards ceremony held at the Sheraton Grand, London Park Lane. The event was attended by more than 200 top Business School leaders representing more than 50 Schools across the world, as well as category finalists, judges and members of the media.

Hult International Business School is a non-profit educational organisation and the first triple-accredited Business School in the US. Ranked by the Financial Times, The Economist, Forbes, and Bloomberg Businessweek, Hult offers programmes at undergraduate, post-graduate, and executive education levels and awards joint US and UK degrees across its global campus locations in Boston, San Francisco, London, Dubai, Shanghai, and New York.

Founded by one of Europe’s most successful entrepreneurs—Bertil Hult—the school offers an alternative to traditional, theory-based education and strives the world’s most relevant business school. Hult’s philosophy is that business skills can only truly be learned by doing. By immersing students from all over the world in practical, hands-on experiences from day one, Hult programs develop the skills employers and entrepreneurs need most. This fresh approach to education is creating a global community of confident, capable graduates, ready to tackle the challenges of tomorrow.

The School has built a strategy around an alumni ecosystem to maximise employment and give students a chance to have a competitive edge for open positions in organisations. This involves getting students ready before they even start the programme, so they can start to network within the first few weeks. This strategy is built on three key pillars; getting ready, going external, and alumni referrals.

Katharine Boshkoff, Global Vice President, Career Advancement and Alumni Relations at Hult International Business School, said: ‘We’re so excited to receive this award. It’s quite an honour for us. Our plan five years ago was to create a thriving alumni ecosystem for our alums and for our students. When we started this program, we saw that our alums were our best advocates and ambassadors and were also a natural pathway to jobs for our students. An unexpected delight was the alums’ enthusiasm and passion to also mentor our students.  With so much demand to help the school and to connect globally, 24×7, we’ve innovated with a number of new technologies and mobile applications in support of immediate and relevant connection.

‘Our goal is still to create real, genuine engagement with our alumni, one that truly interacts with students and with each other—we wanted to light a thousand fires. We will continue to support this community to grow and thrive.  Happy alums do great things for each other and for the school—this has been a real gift.’

Andrew Main Wilson, Chief Executive of the Association of MBAs and Business Graduates Association (AMBA & BGA), said: ‘On behalf of the AMBA and Business Graduates Association (BGA) team, I would like to congratulate the Finalists and Winners of this year’s Excellence Awards.

‘The quality of Award entries was once again very high this year and we are proud to celebrate the achievements and innovation so clearly evident in AMBA & BGA’s network of Schools and their students.’
