IE Business School, IE University has officially received re-accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA), one of the world’s leading authorities on post-graduate business education, demonstrating its continuing commitment to excellence in management education. .
Accreditation from AMBA represents the highest standard of achievement in post-graduate business education. Its rigorous assessment criteria ensure that only the highest-calibre programmes which demonstrate the best standards in teaching, curriculum, and student interaction achieve AMBA accreditation.
Upon receiving AMBA accreditation, all current students and alumni of IE Business School are invited to join AMBA’s global member community of more than 50,000 students and alumni in more than 150 countries on a free basis, for networking, thought leadership, career development, and a variety of benefits.
AMBA accredits nine MBA and executive MBA programmes at IE Business School, as well as a master’s in management course. The School is located in Madrid, Spain and is renowned for entrepreneurship and innovation.
Members of AMBA’s visiting accreditation panel, representing senior management at AMBA-accredited Business Schools globally, commended the international reputation and standing of the School. This was reflected in the Schools partnerships and participation in global networks.
The panel also mentioned the School’s six global hubs dedicated to alumni and careers support, which demonstrated engagement with and commitment to alumni.
The School’s focus on entrepreneurship, innovation and technology was mentioned by the panel. These attributes were seen at both programme and curriculum level, with programmes being observed as interdisciplinary and responsive to market needs.
The panel though the School was successfully experimenting with pedagogical and digital teaching methods and mentioned investments such as The WOW Room (with 48 screens that comprise a digital tapestry of 45 square metres) as a demonstration of this.
