Loughborough University School of Business & Economics achieves AMBA re-accreditation, confirming itself as a world leading management education institution

Loughborough University School of Business & Economics officially received re-accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA), one of the world’s leading authorities on post-graduate business education, demonstrating its continuing commitment to excellence in management education.

Upon receiving AMBA accreditation, all current MBA students and recent MBA alumni of Loughborough University School of Business & Economics are invited to join AMBA’s global member community of more than 57,000 students and alumni in more than 150 countries on a free basis, for networking, thought leadership, career development, and a variety of benefits.

Accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA) represents the highest standard of achievement in post-graduate business education. Its rigorous assessment criteria ensure that only the highest-calibre programmes which demonstrate the best standards in teaching, curriculum, and student interaction achieve Association of MBAs accreditation.

Following a re-accreditation visit in May 2021, the following Loughborough University MBA programmes have been re-accredited:

Members of AMBA’s accreditation panel, representing senior management at AMBA-accredited Business Schools globally, commended the flexibility of the accredited programmes at the School, noting that there were several different pathways which could be taken by students, all of which were stakeholder focused.

The panel also mentioned the collegiate culture at the School, with the staff being seen to be engaged with the programmes. The panel noted that there was a plan to bring new faculty onto the programmes.

Also commended by the panel was the establishment of the new Executive and Professional Education Advisory panel, which will focus on the EMBA and the MBA programmes.

Professor Stewart Robinson, Dean of the School of Business and Economics said: ‘We are delighted to receive this continued accreditation from AMBA for our MBA programmes.  In recent years we have put much effort into developing our programmes and providing flexibility for our students.  This reaccreditation confirms the value of our efforts and emphasises the value we provide to our students.’

AMBA accreditation is international in scope and reach, and AMBA works under the belief that accredited programmes should be of the highest standard and reflect changing trends and innovation in post-graduate management education. Its accreditation process reflects this commitment to fostering innovation, and demanding Business Schools to perform at the highest level continually.
