The Lisbon MBA Católica|Nova has officially received re-accreditation from the Association of MBAs(AMBA), one of the world’s leading authorities on post-graduate business education, demonstrating its continuing commitment to excellence in management education.
Upon receiving AMBA accreditation, all current MBA students and MBA alumni of The Lisbon MBA are invited to join AMBA’s global member community of more than 50,000 students and alumni in more than 150 countries on a free basis, for networking, thought leadership, career development, and a variety of benefits.
Established in 2007, The Lisbon MBA Católica|Nova is an internationally recognized joint-venture between two top European Business Schools based in Portugal, CATÓLICA-LISBON and NOVA SBE, in partnership with MIT Sloan School of Management. The Lisbon MBA offers two programmes, The Lisbon MBA International Programme and The Lisbon MBA Executive Programme. It is supported by a rigorous academic component from three top Business Schools, is a global experience and has a holistic approach to education, with a methodology based on action-learning, to unlock student´s leadership potential and global vision, essential to thrive in the VUCA world in which we live.
Accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA) represents the highest standard of achievement in post-graduate business education. Its rigorous assessment criteria ensure that only the highest-calibre programmes which demonstrate the best standards in teaching, curriculum, and student interaction achieve Association of MBAs accreditation.
Members of AMBA’s accreditation panel, representing senior management at AMBA-accredited Business Schools globally, commended The Lisbon MBA brand, having established itself as a leader in the Portuguese market, with strong relationships with local employers and industry.
The panel commended the content of the courses, and the diversity in the programmes. The engaged involvement of alumni in the student learning experience, with alumni mentoring current students, was also commended by the panel.

The Lisbon MBA International programme is a 12-month accelerated full-time programme for high potential professionals with a minimum of 3 years of work experience (average 8), who aim to boost or change their career paths, including a 1-month Immersion Programme at MIT Sloan in Boston (US) and 2 months of Action Learning programme, either by participating in an International Consulting Lab, or doing an In-Company Assignment or developing an Entrepreneur Project.
The Lisbon MBA Executive Programme is a 22-month part-time programme, aimed for successful professionals with a minimum of 5 years of work experience (average 12), who aim to progress to top management level positions and make a positive impact in the organizations, or change their career path; with a minimum disruption of their professional and personal life. It includes a 1-week Immersion Programme at MIT Sloan and exchange opportunities with other top MBA’s around the world
