The School of International Business Education (RANEPA) receives AMBA re-accreditation and confirms itself in the top 2% of Business Schools globally

The School of International Business Education (SIBE) at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy (RANEPA) officially received re-accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA), one of the world’s leading authorities on post-graduate business education, demonstrating its continuing commitment to excellence in management education.

Upon receiving AMBA accreditation, all current MBA students and recent MBA alumni of SIBE are invited to join AMBA’s global member community of more than 57,000 students and alumni in more than 150 countries on a free basis, for networking, thought leadership, career development, and a variety of benefits.

Accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA) represents the highest standard of achievement in post-graduate business education. Its rigorous assessment criteria ensure that only the highest-calibre programmes which demonstrate the best standards in teaching, curriculum, and student interaction achieve Association of MBAs accreditation.

RANEPA was founded in 1977 and is headquartered in a large campus in south-west Moscow. RANEPA is made up of 22 faculties and Schools. SIBE is a constituent School of the Institute for Social Sciences, one of the RANEPA faculties.

Members of AMBA’s accreditation panel, representing senior management at AMBA-accredited Business Schools globally, commended the leadership team at the School, which they thought was dedicated to the academic and pastoral wellbeing of students.

The panel also mentioned the fact that the Business School had a loyal alumni base that was used in the delivery of MBA programmes and also helped in creating MBA applicants for the School.

Dr. Margarita Perepelitsa, the Dean of SIBE shares with AMBA: ‘At first there was a spark that burst into a flame… and we moved on. It is extremely hard to develop a plan in the world full of environmental disasters, economic risks and uncertainties. Some of us try to survive and keep status quo. But there are people who wish to move forward. They accept challenges and accumulate personal resources, intelligence and leadership qualities.’

Professor Alexander Ageev, Director of Economic Strategies University, Kingston MBA Alumni has said: ‘The key issue we need to stress on is to develop ideals and inspired view to discover perspectives in a fast changing environment and unstable world. We teach students optimistic views on world’s changing strategy. If you are for knowledge, development and success, then learn to think “out of the box”. This way is going to be hard but people always value challenging experience!’

AMBA accreditation is international in scope and reach, and AMBA works under the belief that accredited programmes should be of the highest standard and reflect changing trends and innovation in post-graduate management education. Its accreditation process reflects this commitment to fostering innovation, and demanding Business Schools to perform at the highest level continually.

Andrew Main Wilson, Chief Executive of the Association of MBAs and Business Graduates Association (BGA) said: ‘I am delighted to congratulate SIBE on this re-accreditation. The Business School is an important part of our international network of world-leading Schools. I look forward to continuing to work with this School closely.’
