The Council’s mission is to provide the solutions necessary for Business Schools and candidates to discover and evaluate one another to ensure that talent never goes undiscovered. GMAC owns and administers the Graduate Management Admission Test™ (GMAT™) exam. First administered in 1954, today it is relied on by more than 7,000 graduate programmes worldwide. The GMAT is the most widely used exam for graduate Business School admissions, and more than 200,000 candidates take the GMAT exam every year. Other premier assessments include the NMAT by GMAC™ exam, for entrance into graduate management programmes in India and South Africa, and the Executive Assessment, specifically designed for Executive MBA programmes around the world.
