Audencia chair to assume role as interim dean

The current chair of Audencia Business School, Laurent Metral, will assume the role of chair and dean pending the appointment of a successor to existing dean Christophe Germain

Audencia dean Christophe Germain has informed the school’s board of directors that he does not wish to renew his tenure as dean, despite the confidence placed in him by the school’s governance. The recruitment process for his successor has already been launched.

Commenting on the situation, Audencia Business School chair Laurent Metral said: “Over the last five years, the school has achieved much success under Christophe Germain’s management. The strong international development, the launch and implementation of the ECOS 2025 strategic plan, including the creation of the Gaïa school, the only one of its kind in France, and the strengthening of the alliance linking Audencia, Centrale Nantes and Ensa Nantes, are just a few such examples.

“Christophe has enjoyed a strong mandate, commensurate with his attachment to the school over the past 22 years and his success in various key positions. He had my full confidence, as well as that of the directors and staff, to pursue the ambitions of the ECOS 2025 plan. We fully respect his decision.”

Following the recommendation of its appointments committee, the school’s board of directors has ratified the appointment of Christophe Collignon as deputy managing director. He will report to the next dean and will be responsible for implementing the roadmap drawn up following the school’s latest audit.

For the past five years, Collignon has been founder and president of Sens Collectif, whose expertise has focused on developing collaborative corporate governance for global and sustainable performance. Prior to this, he held senior management positions at IMA Technologies over a period of 18 years.
