Prestigious Facultad de Administración de Empresas, Universidad Externado de Colombia receives AMBA-accreditation and affirms its position in the top 2% of Business Schools globally

Facultad de Administración de Empresas (FAE), Universidad Externado de Colombia has officially received accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA), one of the world’s leading authorities on post-graduate business education, demonstrating its continuing commitment to excellence in management education.

Upon receiving AMBA accreditation, all current MBA students and MBA alumni of  FAE are invited to join AMBA’s global member community of more than 50,000 students and alumni in more than 150 countries on a free basis, for networking, thought leadership, career development, and a variety of benefits.

FAE is an academic unit of Universidad Externado de Colombia in Bogota, Colombia. AMBA has accredited the MBA at the School.

Members of AMBA’s accreditation panel, representing senior management at AMBA-accredited Business Schools globally, commended the leadership of the School, which the panel thought was focused on continually reaching for international excellence.

The panel also commented on the School’s commitment to fostering sustainable development, the School’s membership of PRME and its multiple core modules on the topic were used as examples of this.

The dedication of the faculty was also noted by the panel, as was the high quality of the facilities at the School.

Accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA) represents the highest standard of achievement in post-graduate business education. Its rigorous assessment criteria ensure that only the highest-calibre programmes which demonstrate the best standards in teaching, curriculum, and student interaction achieve Association of MBAs accreditation.

Dean, Alejandro Beltrán said, ‘Achieving AMBA accreditation represents a great milestone in the history of our School and our University. We are convinced that reaching this accreditation will allow us to keep working in continuous improvement and looking forward in the pursuit of global standards of operation at our School.
